Helldust
SYNOPSIS
Death and tragedy have stalked ex-special forces officer ANNIE throughout her entire life. She’s haunted by her mother’s suicide and witnessing her closest friends wiped out on a failed mission under her leadership. The last thing she wants is for her younger brother JAKE, to join the military. But desperate for a distraction from the guilt surrounding his mother’s death, Jake signs up for Uncle Sam despite his sister’s warnings. Annie has played a de facto mother to Jake ever since their family broke apart and she just can’t cut the apron strings now - she’ll be damned if anyone else drives him to basic training. Worried about their friend, former fellow officers NICK, who’s always harbored feelings for Annie, and HARMONY, Annie’s witty BFF, decide to accompany their old friend and lieutenant on the long drive to Fort Williamson, an isolated base in the New Mexico desert. Tagging along is BECCA, Jake’s on-and-off-again girlfriend who we’ll soon find out is hiding some drama of her own - she’s pregnant. As our motley crew set off on a road trip that will change their lives forever… a demon-obsessed serial killer has just broken out of prison. In the chaos of a violent sandstorm, TUCKER “THE CARVER” KARLSON, has made his escape.
Sixteen years ago, his heinous crimes gripped the nation. Claiming to be demonically possessed, he vowed that the demon within him would one day rise again. Unfortunately for our unsuspecting team, and the world, that time is now. With the help of his younger brother RANDY, Tucker has amassed a plethora of ancient ceremonial daggers, all with the intentions of unleashing his demon.
When Annie’s caravan reaches Fort Williamson, her relationship with her brother is on the brink, but they’re met with a military base transformed. Gone is the bustling hub, instead it’s a haunted, dust-scoured charnel house. Annie finds herself facing her greatest fear, losing the last of her family. Ultimately, it’ll take a profound sacrifice and all of Annie’s military training if she hopes to survive a psychotic killer imbed with the powers of the devil himself. She’ll have to face her darkest demons and inner most fears - ultimately picking up the torch once again to lead her troops - this time against mankind’s greatest enemy. Their attack will be a culmination of American military might coupled with the perseverance of the human spirit. No matter what life throws at her, Annie isn’t giving up. If she can stand up against her own demons, hell doesn’t stand a chance.
